The relationship between variables previous experience in disaster situation and the total score of the IES-R (F (2) = 4.34, p = 0.017), as well as previous experience in disaster situation and intrusion subscale (F (2) = 3.94, p = 0.024) were significant in linear regression models. The number of prior experiences was showed as a significant predictor for the total score of IES (p<0.05). Conclusion: The results demonstrated that experiences current can be potencialized to memories of experiences previous, increasing the likelihood to development PTSD.Care of mental health professionals should promote the early identification of risk factors previous experience, not allowing the voluntary initiative overlaps the selective criteria.
