Abstract:

This paper states the issue of environmental and human exposure due to abusive and undue use of pesticides and of its consequences for the human health and the environment and aims to present reflections and contributions for the Ministry of Health's Integrated Planning of Health Surveillance Actions for Populations Exposed to Pesticides from the Distrito Federal Assessment and Control Project for Human and Environmental Exposure. The methodology used in this study consisted of readings and analysis of memories and reports from the Ministry of Health's Integrated Planning and the DF Project, as well as participative observation in preliminary meetings for the making of that planning in the General Coordination of Environmental Health Surveillance and “The integration of Occupational Health Surveillance and Sanitary Vigilance: the information issue” workshop, coordinated by the Occupational Health GT from the Brazilian Association of Collective Health and in the DF Project meetings and workshops. The discussions outcomes suggest that the investigation strategy used in its construction is found to be a propositive contribution and that the DF Project may be constituted as pilot experiment for the Ministry of Health's Integrated Planning.
