Abstract:

In this paper my purpose initially comprehends the presentation of some ideas on disability and the rehabilitation process, the latter defined in its condition of process. We will observe a few differences between this conception and the idea of a strictly defined program (a fixed group of previously defined procedures or technique), and also some ethical implications to professionals of the social, health or educational field working with disabled people. Therefore the handling of the technique and the use of institutional setting will be discussed in this context, inasmuch as they are related to subjective and educational processes intrinsic to rehabilitation work. In so doing, I hope to contribute to a better understanding of the role pertaining to these professionals.
