The Research Program for the UHS (Unified Health System): shared management in health - RPUHS presents the purpose, among other, to fund research on priority areas for the health of the Brazilian population. This qualitative study aims to understand the researchers’ perception about the contribution of research funded by the edicts Research Program for the UHS in Paraiba state, to solving the priority health problems of the population of Paraiba, to reduce regional inequalities in health and to strengthen the management of UHS. The documentary survey in the notices and final reports of research and semi-structured interview with 28 coordinators to these studies were conducted. Triangulation strategy of data was used and they were subjected to content analysis, which converged to the categories: solving the health problems, reducing regional inequalities and contribution to. The wide spectrum of interpretations and categorized reports reveals the gap in the operativeness of the state program. The Paraiba state needs adjustments so that the RPUHS can be effectively on completion, ensuring that the knowledge generated can be realized in the health policies and actions, since the research funded in the state respond to the health needs of the population and difficulties of the UHS management.

Programa Pesquisa para o SUS: a contribuição para gestão e serviços de saúde na Paraíba, Brasil
Abstract(resumo):
O Programa Pesquisa para o SUS: gestão compartilhada em saúde – PPSUS apresenta o intuito, entre outros, de financiar pesquisas em temas prioritários para a saúde da população brasileira. O objetivo deste estudo de abordagem qualitativa foi compreender a percepção dos pesquisadores sobre a contribuição das pesquisas financiadas pelos editais PPSUS no Estado da Paraíba, para a resolução dos problemas prioritários de saúde da população paraibana, para a redução das desigualdades regionais na área da saúde e para o fortalecimento da gestão do SUS. Realizaram-se levantamento documental nos editais e relatórios finais de pesquisas e, entrevista semiestruturada com 28 coordenadores desses estudos. Utilizou-se estratégia de triangulação de dados e estes foram submetidos à análise de conteúdo, que convergiram para as categorias: resolução dos problemas de saúde; redução das desigualdades regionais; contribuição para a gestão. A Paraíba necessita de ajustes para que o PPSUS possa se efetivar em completude, como a garantia de que o conhecimento gerado possa se concretizar em políticas e ações de saúde, visto que as pesquisas financiadas respondem às necessidades de saúde da população e dificuldades de gestão do SUS.
