Abstract:

With the objective to describe the pregnant teenager’s perceptions in relation to the social support taken during the gestational phase, it realized this descriptive-exploratory study with qualitative approach. Twelve pregnant teenagers participated, that frequented the Passo Fundo/RS ambulatory health service. By semi-structural interview genograms and ecomaps it get obtained the analyzed data by the thematic mode. It highlighted the perception of support necessity to get through the fear and maternity challenge. The mothers and partners had been perceived as the main sources of support, providing the dimensions affective and material. Knowing of the common sense filled the information dimension and the emotional dimension disclosed the pregnancy as mediating in the reconciliation with the father. The perception of the dimension of positive social interaction was dimmed by self-provoked isolation. The teenager’s perception on the received social support was clear in relation to the familiar nucleus and confines it the people with which they kept greater attachment. The net of cares of the family was fragile and generated the perception of the psychological and social difficulties, suggesting the necessity of investment of the professionals of health in the REPLACEion of the pregnant teenagers in groups of social care, that influence in the development of the gestation.
