Abstract:

In this article, we will discuss some aspects of the construction of the meanings concerning to the body from the scientific speech which was built with the modern thinking which changed to be the hegemonic thinking for some sectors of the medical area. Meanings attributed to the body bring questions that come from other areas of the social life and those questions will build the aesthetic parameters which will be part of the identity construction, in the relation with the body, the subjectivity and the healthy cares. We will describe some moments of the construction of the modern scientific thought and how this thought became hegemonic, influences the common sense, naturalizes the identity construction and how to deal with the body, interferes in the healthy cares, show a division among some sectors of the biomedicine, reinforce an specific type of medical rationality and it makes an epistemic base and it is use (as theory and discourse) by some sectors connected to the aesthetic medicine and aesthetic surgeries.
