Abstract:

Objective: Analyze the spatial distribution of Hepatitis B vaccine (HBV) of pregnant women. Methods: A cross-sectional study carried on 266 postpartum women. The HBV registry was obtained through the prenatal care booklet. For the detection of cluster of risk for presence of record or absence of HBV, the spatial scanning technique was used. Subsequent to this cluster identification, the individual and environmental variables were compared between the Coverage Areas of Basic Health Units (CAs-BHUs). Results: The mean prevalence of non-HBV was 88.34%, rangingCAs-BHUs. The analysis of scanning space scan was observed a cluster of high prevalence of puerperas that presented the record of the HBV. Comparative analyzes have shown that paid work and the number of prenatal consultations are positively associated with record of the HBV. Conclusions: In view of the above, this work raises a reflection of possible disparities between the other CAs-BHUs, in addition to the influence of environmental. It should be emphasized that the vaccination situation is influenced not only by factors intrinsic to the individuals, however, in this study, the results indicate that the individual variables are predominantly mandatory in the decision of hepatitis B vaccine uptake among pregnant women.
