Abstract:

It is a traverse study, with data collected through a form, applied with physical deficiency people with more than eighteen years old, registered in the Teams of Family Health at the municipal district of João Pessoa-PB. It was verified that those people‘s net support are constituted mainly by the family components (parents, siblings, children, spouses) and extra-family (friends and neighbors), however, 50% of the interviewees told not to count out with any family support. It was verified that the net support contributes for the access to the services and participation in social groups. It was evidenced, however, a reduced social REPLACE, due to the locomotion difficulty, being this, the main barrier for the social interaction. Among the people that got to interact into society the social support was fundamental.
