Abstract:

This article is an essay about the work and health relationship, in a moment of profound changes. Within these could include globalization, new technologies in work environment and mega trends as demographic and epidemiological transitions. Keep in mind that work has an effect beyond physical and mental health even on wellness it is necessary thinking in \" sustainability and healthy work\" and its implications. This reflection should integrate the public health perspective because the interest of this knowledge field in population health but questioning its interaction with other scientific disciplines to analyze this problem with labor health. For that reason, the analysis will take in a count these categories: changes in the world of work, the work´s effect in health and the last one the sustainability and healthy work as social response to these dynamics.
