ABSTRACT

Introduction: The interest by the subject quality of life has increased in the same proportion as the instruments to measure it. Objective:To find scientific production related to the subject quality of life, at differents perspectives, in the last six years, from Scielo database. Methods:Systematic Review from the period of January 2001 to December 2006, and were developed in 3 steps. The first with 180 publications, the second with 124, and third with 10. Results: of the 180 publications is up 77.4% of production in the last three years, with growth of 32.4% from 2001 to 2006. Of these, 124 were selected for analysis methodology in accordance with the category of the study: 79 (63.9%) of application of instrument studies; 25 (20.1%) translation and validation, adaptation and construction of instrument of QOL; 10 (8%) qualitative studies on the QV; 5 (4%) review, 5 (4%) on the concept of quality of life. At this step, the studies used of questionnaires and / or scripts to interview in order to obtain from a more extensive interviews of the perceived quality of life. Conclusion:It follows that what he got a relevant scientific production into the period studied, with diversification of approaches and methodologies, particularly the complexity of the subject quality of life.
