Abstract:

This study aimed to analyze the resolution of care received by primary care users through teleconsultations and teleinterconsultations. It is quantitative research with retrospective data, of the analytical-descriptive cross-sectional type. The study was conducted with data collectedteleconsultations and teleinterconsultations, between November 2022 to September 2023. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods, employing indicators such as absolute frequency, percentages, and proportions to identify patterns and trends in the consultations. A total of 2,355 teleconsultations and teleinterconsultations were performed. Of these, the ones with the highest demands were endocrinology (25.3%), psychiatry (21.7%), and cardiology (16.3%). After the teleconsultation or teleinterconsultation, 96.5% of the appointments did not require a referral for any face-to-face evaluation to the specialized care service. In total, 71.2% of teleconsultations and 76.4% of tele-referrals had their returns scheduled for primary care services for continuity of care. The study identified the main demands of referrals between primary care and outpatient specialty services, improvement of the resolution of primary care and strengthening of the attributions of primary care teams.
