Abstract:

This article has as objective to analyze the challenges of the access to the water for human consumption, considering the international and national context. From the deliberation of the ONU of that the access to the clean water and insurance is a basic right of all human being; it is identified vulnerabilities that can consist in restrictions to the access. The distribution of the water and the populations in the planet, the pollution, the inadequate politics and managements produce environmental injustice. The access iniquity to water consists in the contemporary crisis of the water. From the decade of 1980, the transnational water market emerges for the private control that occurs in three main levels: superficial and underground sources; bottled water; and public services of supplying. The conflicts of the multiple uses of the water resources, the market and the environmental problems have contributed for the vulnerability of the ecosystems and population health. They are necessary public politics adjusted to the basic human right to access the water with quality.
