Abstract:

The heterogeneity and vulnerability of the homeless population reveal the complexity of living on the streets and makes the State play a fundamental role in the provision of health and social assistance policies. The objective of the study was to evaluate the intersectoriality between health policies, social protection and organized civil society actions for the homeless population in Brazil, based on an integrative literature review. For this, a search was carried out in the Scielo, Lilacs and Pubmed databases, in which ten articles were ed, published between 2004-2021, all of a qualitative nature. From the analysis of the ed articles, evidence of intersectoriality between the policies for the homeless population was observed, mainly described as an access bridge between the services offered. However, interventions are still poorly explored and systematized. It is recommended that quantitative studies aimed at the evaluation of intersectoral public policies be developed to allow the assessment of the impact of intersectoriality between health services, social assistance and organized civil society on the quality of life of the homeless population.
