Abstract:

The article analyzes the ways Ciência & Saúde Coletiva Journal approached the narrative field. The notion of \"narrative field\" is built on the relations of three dimensions - cognitive (epistemic), socio-political-pedagogical and applied. The methodology is an explanatory quantitative and qualitative research of authors, themes, theoretical and methodological approaches, concepts and disciplines. The research on the SciELO database is developed in two moments: 1. Context - Restricted to the health publications, research on 01/29/2019, with the descriptor narrative + health (without filter); 2. Bibliometric research - data collected in December 2019 using narrative +science and collective health as descriptor, period 2002-2019. Before 2002, no reference was found in the researched journal. In the analysis of the 43 texts, the keywords were grouped into: narrative analysis, narrative reviews, narrative texts, biography and translation. It is concluded that the theme has relevance, despite the small number of articles. Suggestions for future work: to emphasize the theoretical approaches of narrative work and demarcate their perspectives, as an approach or an object, or as both of them.
