Abstract:

This paper aims at analyzing and interpreting the problems and prospects of the union activity, in order to achieve changes at work and to promote health in schools by means of the experience of the Training Program in Health, Gender and Work in Public Schools. In our analysis we privileged the report of a specific case - the State Union of Education Professionals in Rio de Janeiro (SEPE-RJ). We perceived that, after the training program, the struggles began to focus not only on the defense of certain rights that are traditionally present in the union agenda.
