Abstract:

The Program of Improving Access and Quality of Primary Care (PMAQ-AB) aimed to improve healthcare public service quality and satisfaction of health service users. This present work aims to identify the main factors that influence the user satisfaction of health services by regions of Brazil. By using the secondary datathe 1st cycle of PMAQ-AB, it was obtained logistic regression models by each regions of Brazil, considering the health service user satisfaction as dependent variable that was defined by cluster analysis. Based on models, the most important factors that were associated with user satisfaction in all Brazilian regions are the user attempt their problems within the health unit and feeling respected. Additionally, this present study also reveals the main factors per regions, namely: the health unit‘s operating hours meet user needs (northeast); professionals asked about family members (Midwest); professionals ask questions about other health needs (Central-West); to be attended without an appointment (South); and remove their doubts after consultation (Southeast). It can be concluded that the factors that influence the user satisfaction vary according to the considered region of Brazil and are mainly related to care access quality, to meet user needs and work process organization.
