Abstract:

Due to the new questions that arisethe Brazilian Psychiatric Reform, for the processes of deinstitutionalization in the mental health field, this research leans over the production processes of existential territories in the city, through the experience of users of a Psychosocial Attention Center. Guided by clues of the cartographic method, and through the construction of affective maps and the realization of routes in the city, it was possible to follow how the participants weave multiplicities of territories and living networks in their itineraries, escaping the places instituted by the asylum logic and concretizing deinstitutionalization principles in the micropolitics of their everyday lives. In this movement, they inform our reflections about which kind of cities we desire to build, collectively reinventing the urban territories as more sensible and permeable to instituting forces, with new ways for the production and coexistence of differences. Simultaneously, they bring reflections about in which ways these singular experiences of the city can attend to and potencialize the therapeutic itineraries of clinical practices based in a “logic of the territory”.
