Abstract:

This article analyses children and youth participation approach in the field of Disability Studies. Methodologically, the study combines a bibliographic review and thematic analysis content in order to analyse which participation dimensions are explored in the literature. As results, four topics stand out: Sport, Quality of Life/Well-being, Participation measurement and School. The conclusion is that has a focus on participation as activity performed in a context, being scarce broader discussions about the domain as a human value related to sociability and support bases, autonomy management and dependency levels.
