Abstract:

The study referred to this article shows the work management changes in worker’s health and safety occurred after two thermoelectric plants became controlled by a mix government owned energy corporation. It’s been verified that the owner change caused changes in process and human resources management. The new structuring in progress conducted workers argue their own labor capacity, as experienced workers were destitute in this period. The recognizing lack caused health and safety consequences to workers, as there were many cases of psychical suffering, emotional disorders, musculoskeletal problems, gastrointestinal disorders etc. It was used Ergology theory reference, as also Work Psychodynamic and Activity Ergonomy. The methodology involved: bibliographic survey, documental analysis, semi-structured interviews, systematic activities observations and results validation with research subjects. It was verified that it is possible to introduce tools that could contribute to improve work conditions and, consequently, people life.
