O presente artigo reflete sobre as práticas de educação alimentar e nutricional vigentes no contexto atual. Discutem-se estas práticas no âmbito das políticas públicas de alimentação e nutrição partindo de uma análise sobre as ações governamentais empreendidas e de suas ações no âmbito local, particularmente na nutrição clínica ambulatorial e/ou na atenção a grupos específicos, buscando identificar tendências teórico-metodológicas que norteiam as práticas educativas. Considera-se que a educação alimentar e nutricional tem sido alvo de debates na busca de concebê-la como uma ação governamental. Entretanto, em que pese seus avanços, reconhece a existência de um hiato entre as formulações das políticas e as ações desenvolvidas no âmbito local. Permanece também um hiato entre discursos e as práticas em seu torno das ações educativas. Conclui-se que a educação alimentar e nutricional é menos um instrumento do que um dispositivo de ações conjugadas que devem envolver diferentes setores e disciplinas, entretanto, demanda investimentos na formação profissional e na produção de conhecimento no campo.Palavras-chave: educação alimentar e nutricional, educação em saúde, nutrição, nutricionista
Abstract:
The aim is to discuss the nutrition education practices in the ongoing context. First, it will discuss the governmental actions related to nutritional education in the national public food and nutrition, second, in the local actions of the nutritional education in the health care, seeking to identify trends theoretical-methodological that guide educational interventions. We note that, in the last years, the food and nutrition education has been the subject of reflection in the public policies as governmental action. However, although their advances, it should consider that is a gap between the formulation of these policies and actions carried out in local level. There is also a distance between the discourses and practices in relation to nutritional educational practices. We conclude that the nutritional education is less an instrument than a set of integrated actions which should involve different public sectors and the scientific knowledge fields. However, it demands investment in training of health professionals and also in the production of knowledge about nutritional education.Key words: food and nutrition education, health education, nutrition, nutricionist
