Abstract:

The implementation of digital health constitutes an enormous challenge to the Collective Health, being urgent to set the debate about the more immediate impacts of digital technologies on the health policies. Digital health comprehends the incorporation of new technologies and potentially reconfigures the relationship between State and society, in a process nominated platformization - a health services management through the interpretation of huge data volume. This work draws a historic overview about Brazilian digital health information policies and analyses digital health as a platformization case of the Brazilian State. Therefore, this work analyses the Brazilian digital health strategy from three dimensions: data concentration, users-consumers, and the privatization of public infrastructure. Finally, this work seeks to pronounce a global trend in favor of an innovation that hides the expectancy for digitalization as a dynamizer of capitalist reproduction.
