Abstract:

The ‘locus’ of surveillance in SUS - between the knowledge and practices of social mobilization
Health surveillance presupposes an attentive look at the health situation of populations, which makes it possible to understand health, disease and care as inseparable manifestations of human existence. Considering this perspective, the article proposes to examine health practicescommunicational processes. These are essentially marked by a professional-centered logic, which privileges the scientific, vertical and authoritarian discourse, predominant in the spaces of the Unified Health System. In the territory, the communication process is determinant. As a result of social interaction in daily life, the communication process reterritorialize the elements of social totality (men, companies, institutions, social and legal forms). This is a characteristic space for gathering efforts aiming at a more horizontal and democratic flow of communication.
