It was performed a cross-sectional study with elderly population in rural and urban areas characterize the prevalence of morbidity and symptoms. It was interviewed 229 elderly, the medium of age was 72.3 years, 57.2% lived in rural zone, 56.3% was female gender. The most related morbidities were insomnia (37.7%), anxiety (32.1%), depression (26.7%), and in rural zone it was diabetes (13.3%). In this zone, Alzheimer´s disease was more prevalent in elderly who used pesticides (21.7%). The symptoms more prevalent in residents of urban zone were: coughunny nose and vision problem (41.2%), allergyitching (11.4%). In rural, dry mouth (25.4%), vision problem (35.6%) and leg pain (66.1%) were more prevalent who used pesticides too. The use of EPI in incomplete form was 85.4% and 45.1% discard packaging of pesticide in incorrect form. Development of health public programs is necessary to promote healthy for elderly and we consider possible exposure of pesticides for this population as a risk health determinant.
